Interview with the band, SEP 2021:
“Satanico Pandemonium is an astral bass band, inspired by the sick muses of vice, we met at night in different gigs of the genre, we agreed to meet to play and that was when we realized that we had too many things in common, apart from taste for the dense riffs.
-We formed in 2018, at the end of this year we published our first debut EP «La Sexxxorcista» at the same time that we embarked on our first tour of the north of the country, extraordinary experiences, confrontations with the police and five days on the road and marijuana. They would make us find inspiration for what was our first studio album «Suicide Cult», from 2019 to the beginning of 2020 we had the opportunity to share the stage with bands like Cosmic Terror, The Wizard and Oculto, we opened the shows of Arteaga, Eyehategod, Reka and the first edition of Doom City Fest with The Obsessed, Amenra and Mantar.
-Hefesto Live and Vans Channel have been the most representative presentations in these days of social instability.
-We have seen the scene grow in CDMX and fortunately we have been able to be part of it, the concerts are increasingly attended and with high-caliber bands. We like bands from here, we are close to them, but there are also bands in Durango, Monterrey, Toluca or Pachuca, with which we identify and we like to share with them when we can travel or they can come to play in the city. LSDR Records has been a pillar for the stoner and doom scene to reach more ears and we are truly grateful for that.
-Influences: Meth Drinker, Toke, Mayhem, Acid King, Windhand, Witch, Electric Wizard, Iron Monkey
-We all started from a very young age, Cosmo found an old drum set that one of his uncles had abandoned, in the case of Miguel, Sergio and Daniel, it was under the teaching of close friends, in common we have that none of us studied music as such, we were learning empirically and the rest is history.
-The sound of Satanico Pandemonium arises from the decadence of our lives and the taste for horror, the lowest possible tuning and the most gray psychedelic, everything comes out of the most visceral and darkest of our being.
-Spectrofilia relates the feeling of looking at nothing thinking about your own death, trying to figure out what the shadows that come behind you mean while the light at the end hits you, how scary it could really be to die at a time so overwhelming. Turn on a touch (joint) and regain calm is the premise of this trip, an EP that we recorded under an apocalyptic context, accepting that we are surrounded by ghosts in each present.
-We hope to continue producing, we have in mind to record a Split (surprise) in early 2022, we really want to go on tour, travel abroad and return to continue producing, probably already thinking about a second studio album.”
